Knockhill Open Endurance Race Event

Knockhill Karting Endurance Race Event really brings out team spirit. You will take part in groups 2, 3 or 4 dependant on final numbers. Your challenge is to race against each other and become the fasted pairing, trio or quartet on the track. Team tactics, driver changeovers and team choice are all key to becoming the winners and lifting the Knockhill winner's trophy.

This event is perfect for large or small groups of drivers with all levels of driver ability. Located just 20 minutes from Edinburgh city centre we are a popular venue to get your day or night out off to a racing start.

Our Open Endurance Race event allows all drivers to take part in a group event together regardless of their level of driver ability. First timers and professionals all welcome!

All drivers fully kitted out in full race suits, helmets, gloves, and neck braces.
NKA approved track safety briefing.
All drivers take part in a practice session to determine grid position.
Race to the finish with team tactics and driver changeovers.
Podium presentation with Knockhill karting Trophy and bubbly spraying for the wining team.
Lap times printed out for each team to take away.
Final numbers will determine the amount of laps per race, please see table below.

Visiting time approximately 2-4 hours dependant on final numbers. 50% non-refundable deposit required at time of booking with the balance payable on the day, prior to your event beginning. Knockhill Karting Centre is open 7 days a week from 10am - 6pm and every Wednesday until 9pm. Other evening bookings are available for this event with 14 days notice.

Q. How far in advance do I need to book my event?

For Saturday or Sunday group events or parties we recommend you book approx 2-4 weeks in advance, there may be availability at shorter notice so please call and check with our sales and booking team. Midweek dates can generally be booked at slightly shorter notice.

Q. How much notice do I have to give if I need to cancel my karting event or move the date?

To confirm your booking for a specific date we require a 50% deposit. This deposit is non-refundable and you will forfeit this deposit should you choose not to continue with your booking. We are able to change your booking to alternative dates without penalty provided you can give us 14 days notice.

Q. When do I need to pay the balance of my karting booking?

You are required to pay the balance in full on or before the day of your karting event. All invoices MUST be paid in full on or before the day of your event.

Q. Is the event exclusive to my kart group?

Grand Prix and Endurance Race events require a minimum of 30 drivers to become an exclusive track booking. If your group is below 30 you may be joined by other groups taking part in the same type of karting event, subject to demand. Sprint races are always exclusive to your group.

Q. Will I received confirmation of my karting booking?

Yes. Once your booking has been secured we will send you a confirmation email containing details of your event. This should be brought with you on the day of your booking. Please advise us if you would prefer this to be sent to you by post.

Q. What if the weather is bad?

We are an outdoor venue so we do run in wet weather. We can provide all drivers with full waterproof suits giving extra protection from the rain. If the weather becomes extreme and affects the safety of your event we may have to postpone and reschedule your event. We will attempt to contact you at the earliest opportunity and rebook for another suitable date.

Q. Will I be entitled to a refund if my kart event is cancelled due to the weather?

If you cannot or do not wish to rebook into another date you would be entitled to a full refund. We will only issue a refund if Knockhill cancels due to the weather.

Q. What happens if I pick the wrong kart Event or wish to change the event once booked?

You can change the format of your event as long as we have availability to accommodate your request. If you choose an event of a lesser value, the difference in price in non-refundable.

Q. How do I arrange a date and time for my kart event?

Our booking and sales team are availble. by telephone 7 days a week from 9am until 6pm (5pm at weekends).

Q. Can family/friends come along to spectate?

Yes, the more the merrier. There are indoor and outdoor viewing area’s and our on site restaurant is available for hot and cold meals, drinks and snacks. Please check with us for opening hours.

Q. How early should I arrive at Knockhill Karting Centre?

Approximately 15-20 mins before your event.

Q. Is there an age restriction?

Each karting event lists individual age and height restricts.

Q. Is there a height/weight restriction?

There are no set height or weight restrictions for this experience.

Q. What sort of clothes/footwear is best?

Dress for comfort and the outdoors Flat shoes are required to 'Go Karting'. High heels, sandals, platform shoes or work boots are not permitted. We will provide you with full race suits, helmets, gloves and neck braces as standard. Wet suits will be provided in wet weather.

Kinnairds Resturant
Knockhill’s very own restaurant is located right next to the karting centre and provides a wide variety of meals, snacks and treats. Kinnairds provides a warm, comfortable central point for meeting friends or just relaxing before and after your event. For larger karting parties we recomment you pre-book a table if you would like to sit down for a meal. Kinnairds restaurant is subject to season opening hours and can be contacted directly on 01383 741879.

Scotland's Only Motor Racing Circuit
Knockhill Karting centre boasts the enviable and unique location right next to the famous Knockhill Racing Circuit, host to the UK's top televised motorsport events and open 7 days a week. Knockhill Racing Circuit provides a whole host of sensational driving and passenger experiences, the finest instructors and first class facilities. It is very likely that your karting event will be running alongside some fabulous track activities; it may be a car or bike Trackday, Racing event or driving experience. Your group is very welcome to stay on and watch the action after your karting event.

Disabled Access & Baby Changing Facilities
Knockhill Racing Circuit is generally very accessible to disabled customers, parking areas and ramps are provided into all of the major buildings. Disabled toilets are in various positions onsite. Please just ask any member of staff for details or assistance, we are more than happy to help. There are baby changing facilities in Kinnairds Restaurant which is adjacent to the Karting Centre.

Viewing Area’s
Knockhill karting has an indoor viewing gallery with TV screens covering points of the track and displaying up to the minute lap timings. We also offer a large outdoor secure viewing area with the best viewd of the track. Children of all ages arevery welcome to join us onsite, we just ask for parents/guardians to be with them at all times.

Knockhill Racing Circuit, Knockhill Karting Centre and Kinnairds Restaurant accept cash and all major credit or debit cards (including AMEX & American Express). We do not have a cashline facility onsite.
